We spread the love thick and played our hearts out.
This past weekend bench marked a new era in Hardcourt Bike Polo History. So many different elements came together to make this tournament glorious in its own right. Where do you start? Geneva, Berlin, Paris, London, Canada, and the U.S. meeting in one spot to play polo? Team Smile (SEA) taking 1st in yet another tournament this year? The first ever hay bale court fire ignited by Philly's dirtiest, adolescent bike thieves?
Bottom line, Philly threwdown a damn good time despite a few snags with some locals. Cheers to Montana Norvelle for taking on the responsibility for holding the largest cross-Atlantic, international tournament.
A good time was had by many, even by my poor teammate Keith Evans. Broke his hand in our first Round Robin Match and played through the rest of the tournament.
Fleetvelo was there in full stride seeing some fresh bread that just left the oven. Madison A team member Ben Hunter sneaks a slap shot on a break away in a match against Smile (SEA) on brother Jonny's new Joust.
Brian Whitmore's Joust sees its second tournament and gets 5th place with the help of teammates Alexis and Angelo.
Thanks to everyone that helped out with the tournament, and all those who came out to play from far regions of the world.
